News from the WHI Study

Dear WHI colleagues,

We are saddened to inform you of the passing of one of the WHI’s esteemed Investigators Dr. Gloria Sarto. At the time of her passing Dr. Sarto was an emerita professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She had a profound 60 year career with an immense impact on the field of women’s health. We were lucky to have her involved with the WHI as PI of the Madison Clinical Center beginning in 2004, as a contributing author to manuscripts, and as a member of the WHI Ancillary Study Committee.
